Hello friends,
Recently, after having a tooth pulled, complications led to the diagnosis of osternecrosis of the jaw. I have a sharp sliver of bone protruding from my jaw that kept the bottom of my mouth ulcerated. I've been on Fosamax for few years. I found this medication is the cause of my situation, and there is no treatment for it. Anyone else have similar problem and what to do about it?

In 2004 the FDA & the makers of Fosamax issued a warning to health care professionals suggesting that anyone on this drug steer clear of dental work while on the medication. A person should let their dentist/oral surgeon know they are on this drug & voice their concerns & then decide on treatment.
